[To Do] Improvements in Graphics

Hi Bruno,

I have been doing intensive tests with all kind of graphics for some different search projects. In brief the result is that I prefer much more Network Graphics than the others because it is possible to CONTROL more variables:

+ Filter Forms Frequency (Top and Bottom value)
+ Filter Pairs Frequency (Top and Bottom value)
+ Filter connectivity (Top and Bottom value)
+ Filter "hidden" for every item
+ Also it is possible to mark with a particular color every item!
+ ... and finally the user can customize the distribution of items in the area!
I can not imagine more filters.

so ¿why Histograms and Matrix don't have such advanced controls?

Histograms
+ they can be filtered by top/bottom value,
+ they can be ordered by value
- but it could be great to be able to hidden particular items (e.g. the always non-wanted "None" item or "3000" year))

Matrix
+ the only configuration option is to order the files / columns
- they should be filtered by top/bottom value (numbers or alphabetic)
- they should be filtered by summatory of files /columns when the contents are numbers
- it could be great to hidden particular items (e.g. the always non-wanted "None" item or "3000" year)). Also it has sense to restrict the matrix to just some particular patentees or some IPC or some years...
- also, it could be more than great if you build a 3rd dimension of cells instead of showing colors Smile

... I suspect that it is not so difficult to implement.

Finally, last year I asked for "Saving parameters of a Graphic" in this thread
