| Bibliographic Data problem |
|
Hi Bruno,
How come data from IPC (all digits) and IPC (4 digits) fields are all None and lots of ECLA (all digits) fields are None too ?
Application number and Priority number field had a strange set of number follow by 3000-1-1 the year 3000 makes all the graphics and analysis looks wrong.
regards,

Hi Bruce,
I do a test with "plastic and bicycle" on espacenet and you have right a lot of patent have no IPC code ?? but CI, CN, AI, AN IPC are fill in. I will make several tests this afternoon to see if OPS have changed something for IPC.
Concerning the date, it's also when the date is empty, then MP must have obligatory a date, so i write 3000-1-1. It's a temporary solution. _________________ Regards / Cordialement

Hi Bruno,
I have been reviewing PR and AP numbers + dates of my last searches trying to clarify what happens with many AP/PR Dates = 3000-1-1
According to my tests (not exhaustive) I see that now there is duplicated information for every AP/PR number + date:
a1) the classical complete AP/PR number (country-year-number)
a2) with the right AP/PR Date... all ok
b1) and then it is repeated just the AP/PR number (without country and year) ... this is not informative
b2) with the wrong date 3000-1-1 from MP ... this is wrong data
So b1) and b2) is duplicated and wrong data.
My suggestion is:
a) just discard duplicated information = don't download or filter ???
b) -if it is not possible- ... then MP should repeat also the right AP/PR date.

Hi Bruno,
Could you tell what you think about it?
I'd like to insist you that it is better to delete the date 01/01/3000 than to maintain because it is pure noise. It should be the same PR date appearing in the full PR number.

Hi Bruce,
The problem is hard because I can't replace/delete or anything else the date without lost information.
I'm busy for the moment it's for this reason that I don't find a solution.
I work on MWeb, and I must finish something.
I'm very sorry. _________________ Regards / Cordialement
