Saving parameters of a Graphic
Hi Bruno,
¿Could it be possible to you to SAVE the PARAMETERS of a Graphic?
For example, if I do
---
Graphics => Network
(1st column) Applicant + (2nd column) Group => OK
Forms frequency >= 5
Pairs frequency >= 2
---
...could you build a [SAVE GRAPHIC PARAMETERS] button to store all the parameters of the graphic with a name choosed by the user?
If you do this then a user could:
- do a search project with some searches
- do the cleaning and filtering
- define the first set of graphics + save graphics parameters + save the graphics
... ... some months pass ... ... then
- do updates for all the searches
- do the filtering and cleaning of the new results.
- update all the previous graphics just by CALLing them using their names
- save the graphics
- compare the graphics and take note of the differences
- get some conclusions about the evolution of a technology and take some GOOD decisions
---
If you build this button, any user will be able to compare the evolution of a technological area by repeating exactly the same analysis with THE SAME parameters.
Now it is not so easy. Now it is REALLY necessary to take note of all the parameters of a graphic if a user likes to compare periodically some analysis. I mean, it is not evident to know the parameters of a graphic.

This is a second comment to support this improvement
If MP can save the parameters of a graphic, then MP could OFFER a menu with some "by default" or "most valued" or "most used" graphics. This menu would be very welcome by "MP beginners" or by "very busy" people.
Then you could offer a menu like this:
- analysis to detect the best team of inventors:
=> graphics - network - inventors - inventors - forms freq >=3
- analysis to see the evolution of companies in the last years
=> graphics - matrice - applicant - pr year - sort column by value - sort by value - sort by cell - sort row desc
... and so on
I think that this utility can be called "Graphic macros"
I think that it is of HIGH VALUE because some people prefer some graphic suggestions/menu rather than to be able to choose between different kind of graphics and parameters.
