Customisation of default "Visualization tab" Reply with quote
Hi Bruno,

1) Sometimes when I do a search on a mechanical topic I like (I need!) to browse the patents visualizing the graphic together with the abstract.

2) ... but when the search is on a mechanical topic AND I search on OLD patents ... then usually there are not abstracts. So I like (I need!) to browse patents visualizing the Mosaics.

3) If there are not mosaics, then I have to browse patents using "First Page" pdf.

In case 1) browsing patents with keyboard shortcuts is not complicated, but in case 2) or 3) it is really time consuming.

So why not to customise the "by default tab"? Now the "by default tab" is allways "bibliographic data".

Regards

Hi Juan,

Like everytime you have good idea Wink

Tabs are generated dynamically when information is available.
Rapidly, it is very hard to develop a preference tab order.

But i search how can i do that.

Many thank's

Juan,

Are you not affraid to open each time a PDF if you choose "FP" or "Drawing" tab ? It takes time to open this kind of file on MPatent.

YES!!!

Is it possible to maintain "open" Acrobat Reader and then just load/unload pdf files, instead of open/close Acrobat Reader + load pdf file?

This would be super!

regards

No, it is not possible because when you change your selection all tabs are deleted and then ReaderPdf is close also.

Hi Bruno, I have been speaking to other people here ... we have now a tip to AVOID all the loading/unloading process of Acrobat Reader:

It is just TO OPEN Acrobat Reader application apart from MP.

When Acrobat Reader is open and you click on MP Mosaic Tab, MP simply gets the available Reader application and quickly loads the mosaic document. When closing the Mosaic Tab, Acrobat Reader remains open, ready for a quick load of the next document! That's all!!

... so Now, as you suggested, it would be great to have a "PREFERRED ORDER" of tabs. If the first one exists, open the tab. If not, use the next one... now it is your turn!

Regards
