| Usability - ShortCuts |
|
I don't like using the mouse to activate functions, I prefere to use keyboard ShortCuts. This is absolutely true when there is a repetitive task.
I see that very few functions from the main menu have associated shortcuts. Also when doing right click on a patent to obtain the contextual menu I see that none of the available functions have an associated shortcut.
A good example, when browsing and filtering a search: to delete a patent it is necessary to do right click then delete, this is a repetitive task. A simple Ctrl-D is much better, I think that it is very easy to you to prepare a good list of shortcuts associated to the main functions.
Thanks and regards

Hi,
We have made a new revision of Mathéo Patent 6.1 (050413). You can download it in this forum at "Download Section"
We have added several keyboard ShortCuts.
Please tell us, if you want another ShortCuts.

Thank you for the shortcuts.
It would be good if it was also a shortcut to change the control from the upper pane to the lower pane.
I mean, if I'm browsing the patents using the upper pane with the arrow up-down ... then I see a good patent ==> I need to go to the lower pane and take the control of the lower pane. At the present I need to take the mouse and do click on the lower pane. Also I need the mouse to change between sections of the lower pane.
At the moment it is not clear to me the real value of [tab]. Could we use the [tab] to do this change?
This [tab] shortcut could be also very useful to change from [bibliographic data] to [abstract] to [claims]... etc
Regards

Hi Bruno
PRESENT situation when Cursor is located in "Search", by clicking on [Tab]
1st Tab ==> ?? I can't find where it is the cursor
2nd Tab ==> Upper pane
3rd Tab ==> ??
4th Tab ==> ??
5th Tab ==> Search (again)
There is no way to go to the lower pane just by using the keyboard
PROPOSALS of shortcuts to move easily between panes and Tabs:
1) Proposal to move from Search => Upper Pane => Lower Pane => Search (again) etc:
If possible, the best option to me is [Tab]
If it is not possible, other good option is: [Alt]-[up arrow] and [Alt]-[down arrow]
2) Proposal to move between tabs in the lower pane:
Alt-B: Bibliographic data tab
Alt-A: Abstract Tab
Alt-C: Claims Tab
Alt-D: Description Tab
Alt-I: Inpadoc Tab
Alt-P: First Page Tab (Alt-F is already for "File")
Alt-1 to Alt-0 : Tabs for Drawings no. 1 to no. 10 (if there are more tabs ... then manually)
---
After asking and asking, now I'd like to give you something new (at least to me)
... I had some problems to move and view figures in PDF documents in the lower pane but I have just discovered the power of Ctrl-0 Ctrl-1 Ctrl-2 and Ctrl-3. If you don't know, try it ...
