How to get less registers with the description "None&qu |
|
Hello all!
as I am new to the forum I dont know if this issue was already discussed earlier, but I didnt find anything helpful searching it.
My problem: in my patent searches the mayority of results are displayed by matheo patent with the name "none", but when looking at the patent details it shows a true applicant name? why is that, and how can I solve it? Especially when i am creating patent maps (with applicants in the matrix) it is very annoying because I is usually the biggest node and I cant get rid of it (or can I?)
I am thankful for any help!
greetings,

Hi Bjorn,
If MPatent shows name in the details, it must also shows the name everywhere.
Could you gives us a like example, which database, which keywords, etc... _________________ Regards / Cordialement

How to get less registers with the description "None |
|
we usually search in EPO worldwide, in this case our search string was IPC=C09K3/16* and title=coat* and retrieved about 1000 patents. More than 100 results were identified as applicant "None" by matheo patent (via the patent analysis), allthough the main patent of the family always shows an applicant. What I suspect, is that matheo patent counts the subpatents of each family where indeed some of them dont show applicants (usually japanese aplications of the patents).
Wouldnt it be better if MP only counts the main patent of each family, or at least gives a possibility to deactivate these "None" countings for the patent analysis (so that they dont appear in the ranking, maps, etc.)?
thank you for your help,
Greetings |

In fact MPatent count one patent by family but the main patent for counting may be not the main patent shown in the treeview. It's for this reason that MP sometimes count "None" value.
We are looking for a best solution to improve this issue. _________________ Regards / Cordialement

None Applicant-Name Records in Matheo Patent |
|
Dear Matheo Team,
just wanted to ask you if you have considered the problem with the NONE Name records in Matheo Patent, which appear in every search, (even in the snowboard sample that comes with Matheo) and I was wondering if there is any posibility to avoid that Matheo downloads the whole patent family which is usually the cause of the problem, because it puts a lot of "info-noise" in the results (diagrams, maps, etc.).
thanks and best regards,

Dear,
We don't found yet a good solution concerning "None" information. It's sure that download the whole family increase the number of "None" but I think it's not the right solution to download only one patent by family. User could have less information.
We think to a solution which changes patent if it contains "None" information when it used by a chart or matrice or network, ... but it's not easy to implement actually.
We are aware about this problem and make all to find the right solution. _________________ Regards / Cordialement
