Project --> Update | Question on behaviour Reply with quote
Assume I perfomed a "Project-->Add Patents" which results in Search #1 and has 30 hits.

Now, after 1 minute I perform a "Project-->Update-->Search #1" on the very same project. (I do not choose "Schedule").

I confirm "Do you want to update your request"

Now MP tells me in the window "Patents selection ..." that it has "Number of patents detected: 30"

I confirm "select all patents" and all 30 patents are downloaded AGAIN!

I would not name this as an UPDATE but a complete RENEW.

The handbook states: "Surveys the Arrow new published patents matching your requests".

Do I miss something when hoping for an update download of any new published patents only?

Best Regards
Andreas

Dear Andreas,

First you must know that do an update generate a request since the latest update (in a new request, the creation date). In your case, MP gets the same year.

In your case, it's the normal way to MP when he do an update. He must find patents changments, so he must reload patents. Only new patents found will have "red bulb".
