Download of files / refined query / seek for guidance

Dear All,

I am currently testing MP and seek clarification on the following two (2) questions:

Confused

:QUESTION_1: I seek guidance for the following cases:

1. I perform a CQL query in EPO database and download the hits. Let's say I downloaded 1.000 patents resulting in 250 patent families.

2. Now I want to update my CQL query, e.g. by adding another CLASS to the original query. The button "test query" tells me that the updated query results in 1.200 hits.

what to do now?
A) create a new project and store the 1.200 patents there
B) update the existing project by adding the new patents?

The download time appears to be the same because all 1.200 patents are downloaded anyhow.

Confused

:QUESTION_2:
Is it possible to join project data.
E.g. I performed a query on competitor 1 and another on competitor 2. Both result in lets say 1.000 hits each which results in 2.000 patent files on my hard disk.
Now I want to join the the data to a project "all_competitors".
Is that possible locally in MP or directly by copying the two projects together into one directory?

Dear Andreas,

Concerning Question 1, the result will be the same. The only difference will be : you will be able to know which are patents that are only with the second query.

Concerning Question 2, actually it's not possible to merge projects sorry Embarassed
