| CRITICAL UPDATE UNDER PROCESS |

Due to suden Espacenet changes, Matheo Patent can't connect to Espacenet since the october 23rd 2008, 19h00 GMT.
Our technical team is doing its best to update Matheo Patent as soon as possible.
The USPTO connection has not been affected by these changes.

Dear users,
We developped a beta release of MPatent program, this release must be tested.
If you want test it :
MPatent 9.0 Beta
Install this beta release in a different directory
At this moment :
- With this revision, you can download patent and get biblio/desc/claims/legal/pdf (*)/picture
(only citing patent missing)
- It connect to OPS V2 (development website) so OPS can shutdown the server by moment.
Concerning this revision :
Good thing :
- Advanced mode for request EPO
- Family members download automatically with all biblio informations
- Patent key is Number + Kind Code
- More rapid (I put delay of 2sec between each request)
Bad thing :
- MP9.0 is connected to OPS V2 development service, OPS V2 production will be available next week (from OPS technical guy)
- (*) PDF are not merge (yet) because there is a password for Write/Print method inside. User can only read it
- (*) PDF proposes all link to the next page which can't be available.
- Some OPS request operators (like "within, prox, ....) are not yet available. Coming very soon (begenning of november)
- Citation link not yet finalized. Missing "next page"
- Like "within date operator" is not yet available, Test my request returns error message

Hi Bruno,
I downloaded mpatent 9.0 here're the test results:
1) Nothing can be down download from epo. I use the TI=airbus and
test all the parameters all came back with "no results".
2) Tested import file came back with error.
3) Tested test my request came back with connect fail
4) The only download I can do is open an existing project and download the existing patent's description,first page, claims, drawings etc. Can't download PDF it ask for password and can't add any new patents all came back with no result!
Since can't download any patents (all came back with no result) can not see all the good things you did for mpatent 9.0. I guessed it's OPSv2 problem?
I only tested the download part. Is there any other test you want us to test ? I hope this is helpful to you.

Hi Bruce,
The OPS development server is turned off since this night. It's for this reason that MP9 returns "no result".
I must improve MP with "alert" message when the user do a request.
Keep an eye to this topics, I will announce all the beta revision and information about OPS server.

Tested mpatent 9.0 0810281 version:
1) Use the TI=airbus test. EPO show 10 patents and MP 9.0 show 9 ?
2) Use TI & ab=airbus pub. date 2008 EPO show 5 MP 9.0 show 6?
3) Use IPC=B64D27/26 pub. date 2008 had no result EPO show 63. MP 9.0 B64D27 show 181 EPO show 177 ? Can't do ipc /xx search now?
4) MP 9.0 use airbus france pub. date 2008 no result. EPO show 628. MP 9.0 use "airbus france" pub. date 2008 show 566. OPS server problem ? Have use " " if there is space for applicant now?
5) Test my request had Connect Fail message
6) Download PDF is not working. All the PDF pages is downloaded into the project PDF/document/matheo patent folder but not combine into one document. So Tab is not showing Orginal Doc.

Yes, I must get more information about this difference between EPO and OPS. The PN = DE102006012902A1 is missing. Why ?...

OPS answer one patent more, one patent with a kind code = A2, I will ask also to OPS admin.

Here, it's because the OPS CQL parser is sensitive to the "/" caractere, so IPC must be put into quotes like IC="B24D27/26" and PD=2008. I test it's ok. But I've more result that EPO (EPO = 44, OPS=69).

Now OPS CQL parser can be requested without field. it find result in text index (ti + ab + in + pa) but I think this option/method is not yet available (like within date operator)

You must uncheck "date" because "within" operator is not yet available.
I think it's the problem.

Oh yes, it's a MP9 problem. Now, Merging PDF can't be done, so I don't rename EP123456#0001.pdf ...0003.pdf to EP123456.pdf and MP9 is looking for a number without #xxxx.pdf. I will correct that for the next revision.
Note : You must have all pages in the default PDF directory ? right ?
I will contact OPS admin to have answers concerning difference between results.

OPS service hasn't authorization to integrate JP data into OPS server. But they preview to do that. When ? sorry I don't know yet.
