Uniformisation of EXPORT(s) Reply with quote
Hi Bruno,

Summer is coming Cool and risk of fire is high Evil or Very Mad ...

... so please keep refreshed, I don't want you to get "burnt" because of all my askings Wink ... here you are two more askings

1) In Menu, there is the "Exports" function with two options: "export to Text" and "export to XML" (for all the items)

Idea why not include "Export to Word" (for all the items) in this menu?

(in would be in the same way they are in indexes contextual menu)

---------------
2) Also when clicking on any kind of export, it appears the same popup window with all those available fields:

Inventors
Applicants
E Class
IP Class
Application Number
Priority Number
Cited Documents
Equivalents
Groups
Family
Abstracts
Comments
Descriptions
Claims
---------
But (if my tests are not wrong) there are other "mandatory fields" which don't appear in the popup. They are different depending on the kind of export:
--------
a) "Export to Word" always includes:

Number
Publication date
Title
Image (.png)
Pertinence
url EPO

---------
b) "Export to txt" always includes:

TI - Title
UR - URL
PD - Publication date
PT - ?
RP - ??
PR - Priority
OPR - Oldest Priority
DPR - Date of Oldest Priority

-----------
c) "Export to XML" always includes:

<patent> with two subfields
pn=
pd=
<title>
<url>

----------

Idea I find it much more clear to uniformize = to include ALL the fields (or pseudo fields built from fields, eg URL) in all the menu (avoiding mandatory fields)

If it is not possible to export a field in a certain format (eg field "image" in "export to txt") it could appear "shaded". Also if a field has not much sense, it could be simply unmarked.

Regards
