Improvement in available Abstract |
|
Hi Bruno,
I see that now MP provides one abstract for every member of a family. Good! => If there is no abstract in a country patent record, then MP takes another abstract from other patent family member and provides this abstract.
As fas as I understant this process, it seems that MP picks up the "first available abstract" following the country's alphabetical order, usually the alternate abstract is from Canada, China, Brazil, etc ... but may times there is a better quality abstract from WO, US or EP patent record.
Could you follow the same order as in "list of ranking countries"?

Hi Juan,
I make an improvement the latest night, please test the latest revision 081126, available since few hours but not yet announced in the alert message box.
MP shows all abstracts available found in the OPS biblio answer.
What do you think about it this version ? _________________ Regards / Cordialement

Hi Bruno,
I have installed the rev_081126 as you say to check abstracts
I have done a simple search, now I have the patent family of this patent number: WO2006017698, the countries of the family are WO, US, RU, KR, JP, EP, CN, CA and BR
I see that ALL the family members have abstract and graphic ... very good!
I see that WO patent has two abstracts: english and french ... very good!
US patent has its own abstract
CN patent has its own abstract (in english)
BR patent has its own abstract (in portuguese)
RU, KR, JP, EP and CA patents don't have their own abstract, then MP takes ... the Brazilian abstract in portuguese! ... ¿why? ¿because it is the first one in alphabetical order?
The proposal is: Why not to select the abstract according to the user country list?
Thanks for your good job!
