Edit name of Applicant/inventor Reply with quote
Hi Bruno,

Sometimes patent records have "none" as name of applicant/inventor, but it is very easy to identify their name (eg because it is cited in other members of the same family)

Could it be possible to edit the content of this field?

Now the user can modify the name of a patentee/inventor in the index. This utility is ok to modify "non standard" names to "standard" names... but this utility is not valid to edit the name "none" in the index because it corresponds to many different names.

So the solution to correct "none" in patentee/inventor should be to edit the records, not the index.

To have a lot of records with "none" in some fields is a problem to get right graphics/analysis so it is important to have a possibility to edit those fields.

Thanks

Hi Juan,

In the next revision, I added a menu in the main view where user can modify the content of the field Applicant or Inventor. with this menu, he can :
- Delete none and change to another
- Add another App/Inv

It's done, I will upload this revision this night.
